Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
This is a really yummy banana bread. It's really easy and fun to make. I have made this bread a few times with my family. We made this for a Christmas tray that we took to the hospital and to a few elderly peoples homes when we went and sang for them with our 4-H club. It was a lot of fun. You can also add crushed nuts to the batter before you bake it. Hope you enjoy.

Yummy Special K Bars

Yummy Special K Bars
What you will need:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 ½ cups of creamy peanut butter
6 cups of corn flacks
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
A little butter

This is a really easy and fast recipe. What you will want to do first is measure all of the ingredients, then you will want to butter a tuber ware around the edges and the bottom. Make sure that you put the 6 cups of corn flacks into a large mixing bowl. What you will do is boil the sugar and corn syrup. This will happen fast and then you will add the 1 ½ cup of peanut butter and make sure these are mixed well. This needs to be done over a medium heat. Next add the mixture to the corn flacks and make sure that all the corn flacks are covered. Place the bar mix into the tuber ware and press lightly into the corners until flat. Let the bar mix cool. This may take a while it all depends it can take anywhere between 15 to maybe 20 minutes. The next step is the topping. This is really easy what you will need to do is melt the two different chip types together and then spread over the cooled bars. If the chip topping is to think the spread then you can add a little milk.

Special K Bars are really yummy. I made these for the first time this weekend. They were really yummy and easy to make. This is a recipe that I have had many times at friends’ houses and at bake sales at 4-H fairs. This is a recipe that my family and I really enjoy. They are perfect for anytime.

Yummy Dill Pickle Dip

What you will need:
Ground up pickles
Sour cream

This is a yummy dip! What you will need to do is open a small tube of sour cream and stir it well. Next you will want to crush up some pickles. There is no form of measuring. This is a to taste recipie. You can add as many or as little pickles you want. You will add the pickles to the sour cream and mix well and enjoy.

I have had this once when I was staying at a friends house. I thought that this was a good dip. We ate it with potato chips while watching a movie. It was really good, fast and super easy to make. This also tastes really good with dill pickle flavored chips. I suggest this dip for anyone who likes pickles and if you don't like pickles this dip might not be right for you.
